Chapman, Clerk of Court Seth attended Stony Point High and graduated from Alexander Central High School in 1972 . In 1976 he graduated from Mitchell Community College with a degree in Criminal Justice. He worked for a time with the North Carolina Department of Corrections. In 1982 Seth was elected as Clerk of Court for Alexander County and he has been reelected every four years since. During Seth's tenure as Clerk of Court everyone has been treated equally and fairly. Seth views Alexander County as the greatest place to live, work and raise a family. He is proud of the fact that his family has lived in Alexander County since before the American Revolutionary War. He states there is "No better place than Alexander County". When asked about his view on the crime rate in Alexander County, Seth stated that it is lower than other areas. And when asked for his view of the Democrat Party, Seth replied "That contrary to the popular belief, THE DEMOCRAT PARTY IS THE PARTY THAT TRULY REPRESENTS FREEDOM, LIBERTY, AND PROTECTION FOR ALL CITIZENS. WE PROUDLY ARE THE PARTY OF POOR AND MIDDLE AMERICA." When asked to comment on the current state of the county, he referred back to the balanced budget in 1999 and stated the list goes on! |
